Glen Island is set reopen to the public Tuesday, more than a year after it was turned over to the state to become the first drive-thru testing site.
Glen Island is home to Westchester County Park's largest beach, and a large park area right on the Long Island Sound.
While Glen Island is welcoming back visitors, Westchester County Executive George Latimer says the testing site will continue to run with some minor changes.
"The state has now reconfigured traffic and security flow to allow people to go to Glen Island and enjoy beauty just in time for the spring," said Latimer.
Glen Island will be open to Westchester residents only.
Parking is limited - there will only be 300 parking spaces available to the public free of charge.
