GOP candidate for governor Stefanowski says he will not try to change current abortion law

Republican gubernatorial candidate Bob Stefanowski is breaking his silence on abortion rights.
"Under no circumstances will I, as governor, attempt to change the existing law," he said Wednesday.
Stefanowski does support a parental notification law for kids under 16 - except for rape or incest.
Gov. Ned Lamont pushed his opponent Tuesday to take a firm stand on abortion.
"I think that any candidate for governor has got to speak up and let us know where you stand. The Supreme Court, that leak, is really jeopardizing a lot of fundamental rights. Right now, what have I heard from the Republican candidate for governor? Crickets," Lamont said Tuesday.
The governor recently signed a law shielding out-of-state patients and abortion providers legal actions.
