The run for the governor's office took center stage Saturday night as Gov. Kathy Hochul and Lt. Gov. Antonio Delgado hit the campaign trail with a stop in Elmsford.
A who's who of local political leaders also accompanied both.
The running mates stumped for votes from union members at Teamsters Local 456.
Delgado vowed to fight for all New Yorkers in the aftermath of Friday's Supreme Court ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade and Thursday's gun rights ruling that expands the rights of gun owners.
The "get out and vote" message came across loud and clear with the reminder that primary day is Tuesday June 28.
Hochul stepped to the podium and vowed to protect the rights of everyone who calls the Empire State their home.
A win in November's general election would make Hochul the first female to be elected governor in the state of New York.
Meanwhile, a special session of the New York state Legislature will convene on June 30 to pass new gun safety legislation.
