Gov. Phil Murphy, along with Department of Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli and other elected officials, visited the Hudson County Office of Emergency Management USS Juneau COVID-19 drive-thru vaccination site Tuesday morning in Kearny.
The appointment-based vaccine drive-thru site opened at 9 a.m. and serves the county.
The site has been open for nearly a month. Last Friday, over 1,100 people were vaccinated - the most since the site opened.
"We haven't provided the money in order to buy the supplies and we haven't gotten the money for the infrastructure and the counties are cooperating with the north or south, east or west they're cooperating, so we need a national plan,” says Rep. Bill Pascrell.
Like many other vaccination locations across the state, they struggle to supply the demand.
