The Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce launched its first ever scavenger hunt aimed toward supporting local businesses.
The Great Hudson Valley scavenger hunt is a new competition that encourages people to shop local and have fun doing so.
The free-to-enter event kicked off on May 24 and goes on until June 6.
Shoppers can join any time by scanning signs at various businesses with your phone to earn points. To find out where participating locations are, listen to Q92 each morning at 8 a.m.
Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce's president and CEO tells News 12 the organization is hoping to bridge a gap.
“Obviously during the pandemic, businesses were greatly challenged to reach the community and reach their target audiences. What we’re looking to do at the chamber is connect the two together in a safe way,” says Frank Castella Jr.
One person will be eligible to win a grand prize of $2,021, but other prizes will be available.
