The Greenwood Lake Board of Trustees has appointed Thomas Howley as the village's new interim mayor.
Howley called the area "the greatest little village in Orange County" in a social media post.
He pledged to keep Little League and CYO basketball running and has an open line of communication for anyone with concerns.
