Mount Hope Plaza will feature 56 affordable apartments for adults 62 years old and older.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held Friday for a new affordable housing project in White Plains. Mount Hope Plaza will feature 56 affordable apartments for adults 62 years old and older.
To be eligible to rent, applicants have to make 60% of the area median income or lower.
Twenty units will be for seniors who are experiencing homelessness.
The $40 million development will have a green roof, community room, laundry room, free internet and parking.
