Some New York state lawmakers are proposing new legislation that would provide protection to sexual assault victims in court.
The legislation, co-sponsored by local representative Amy Paulin, would amend the criminal procedure to allow evidence of a defendant's prior sexual assault to be used as evidence in a sexual assault proceeding.
