“Fleet Week is about celebrating those who serve and recognizing the unyielding strength of our Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard team," said Commander Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Rear Adm. Wesley McCall.
The event has been held nearly every year since 1984, and it is anticipated that about 2,300 service members will participate this year.
This year there are two visiting ships from Germany.

EVENTS
Fleet Week New York events are free and open to the public.
The Parade of Ships officially kicks off 2024 Fleet Week New York on May 22, starting at 7:45 a.m. and until 11 a.m. The ships will be able to be seen along the Hudson River from Battery Park to just south of the George Washington Bridge. The event is free to the public to view.

SHIP TOURS
Public ship tours will be available in Staten Island May 23-27, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Ships located in Manhattan at Pier 88 and 90 will only be available for public visitation on Saturday, May 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
USS Bataan (LHD 5) and ships from Germany will be available for public ship tours only on Saturday, May 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
