The deadline to register to vote in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York is in October.

HOW TO REGISTER IN CONNECTICUT:

In Connecticut, to register to vote in the general election, your application must be postmarked or received by a voter registration agency by the seventh day before an election (OR you may register in person with your Registrar of Voters by the seventh day before an election). HOW TO REGISTER IN NEW JERSEY:

The deadline to register online to vote is Tuesday, Oct. 17.
The deadline for registering by mail to vote is (postmarked by) Tuesday, Oct. 17.
The deadline to register in person to vote is Tuesday, Oct. 17.

HOW TO REGISTER IN NEW YORK:

The deadline to register online to vote is Oct. 28.
The deadline for registering by mail to vote is (postmarked by) Oct. 28.
The deadline to register in person to vote is Oct. 28.
The deadline to request a ballot by mail is (received by) Oct. 23.
The early voting period runs from Oct. 28, to Nov. 5, but dates and hours may vary based on where you live.
