Ten guinea pigs were found abandoned in Brewster.
The Putnam County SPCA says they were found in a Tupperware container on a walkway near Putnam Avenue.

News 12 was told that several female guinea pigs were pregnant and showed signs of neglect.

They are now being taken care of at a local animal rescue shelter.
Anyone with information on the guinea pigs is asked to call the Cruelty Hotline at 845-520-6915
