Police are asking for the public?s help in finding a brazen pair of robbers who follow tenants into their Bronx buildings and rob them at gunpoint.Investigators say the men have struck 18 times in Kingsbridge Heights, University Heights and Norwood since July. The suspects usually pull out a gun after cornering their victims in an elevator.
Police urge tenants to never open their doors to strangers, have their keys ready and be aware of their surroundings. Some residents at 3245 Perry Ave. in Norwood say they are taking the advice to avoid a face-to-face confrontation with the robbers.
Anyone with information about the crime spree is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
