Here's what’s happening around the Hudson Valley today.       
Yonkers students return to school for their first day back. Students were originally supposed to return to the classroom last Friday, Sept. 3, but that was pushed back due to flooding from Ida.

Assemblyman Mike Lawler will unveil new legislation in honor of the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
Local police officers take part in the Torch Run to honor the Special Olympics and remember the lives lost in the Sept. 11 attacks. They'll run from Yonkers to Peekskill.
Rep. Sean Maloney will be touring storm damage left behind by Ida in Dutchess and Orange counties.

There will be a grand opening of the new Hutchinson School in Pelham.
A donation drive at the Mamaroneck Elks Lodge will be collecting supplies for village residents hit hard by Ida from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
