More than 100 volunteers have set themselves up in Washingtonville to help with the post-Irene cleanup in the storm-ravaged village.
Yvonne Melville says her son and his family were planning to move in to a house in Washingtonville this week, but now the home has been condemned after water from the storm destroyed its foundation.
Officials say they have brought food to more than 7,000 people in Washingtonville and the Hudson Valley who are trying to pick up the pieces after Irene. Thousands of power outages reported across HV
