Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
Two people are recovering this morning after being electrically shocked during yesterday's storms in New Rochelle. First responders saya man and woman were on a ramp at the end of Drake Avenue in New Rochelle when they were shocked. Officials say an off-duty firefighter who was nearby heard the commotion and rushed to save them. They say the woman was found conscious and alert. The man was given CPR and taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi.
Crews in Valhalla are being credited with quickly putting out a pair of car fires. Officials say the fire started with one vehicle parked at the EF Academy and spread to a second car parked next to it. Both car fires were extinguished, and the vehicles were taken from the lot.
At least one person is recovering from serious injuries after a crash in Orange County. It happened early Sunday morning on Route 17 in Tuxedo, just south of the Harriman train station. Police say a victim was found unconscious and required CPR.
