A Yonkers man who paid a Chappaqua Central School District employee over $5,000 in bribes and kickbacks has been found guilty after a two-week jury trial. Ricardo Jimenez, 57, and an employee at the Chappaqua School District plotted together to give work projects to Jimenez's company, then later kicked back portions of the payments to the district employee in cash and checks made out from another company. Jimenez is scheduled to be sentenced in November. He faces up to 15 years in state prison.

An "unprecedented and unacceptable" New York City subway outage is prompting a review from Gov. Kathy Hochul. Riders on the subway were left stranded Sunday night after a momentary power surge which knocked out signals. More than 80 trains were affected, with some stuck between stations. This led to evacuations in the tunnels - some led by emergency personnel and some were self-evacuations. Hochul commended riders who waited for rescue and criticized those who self-evacuated saying they slowed down the recovery.

Westchester County Executive George Latimer announced service changes to the county's Bee-Line Bus system on Monday. The changes will take effect Sept. 7. The changes include additional weekend service on Routes 5, 6, 7, 13, 40 and 60. There will also be adjustments to scheduled running times to reflect actual travel times and changing demand. Riders should consult timetables for specific details about each route. Routes affected include: 1, 5, 6, 7, 13, 14, 25, 30, 40, 42, 60, 61, 62, 70, 71, BxM4C.
