A faulty engine part is being blamed for a private plane crash last year in Yorktown, according to a report by the National Transportation Safety Board. The Tuckahoe resident attempted to fly back to Westchester, but instead made a hard landing at Shrub Oak International School. The pilot sustained minor injuries.
