Here are some of the stories making headlines in the Hudson Valley.
A New York State Department of Transportation worker was struck intentionally on the Palisades Parkway and carried on the hood of the vehicle for a considerable length of time. Video captures the moment when a HELP truck was struck as he was trying to direct traffic last week during a crash scene. The worker was forced onto the hood of the car, and the driver continued to drive down the parkway.  It is unknown yet whether the driver was charged with any crimes or if the worker suffered injuries.
New developments this morning on a building collapse in the city of Yonkers this past weekend. Officials say it was a commercial building with two stores on Ludlow Street. The front and side walls collapsed, bringing down the roof. No one was injured, but News 12 is told some parked cars were damaged. An emergency demolition was performed, and the entire building was leveled.
Police have now confirmed that a former officer with Hastings-on-Hudson Police Department was one of the victims in a fatal crash in Yorktown. Michael Moore was killed Sunday night on Route 6N. A woman who was driving a second car involved was taken to the hospital where she later died.
