Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A man is facing charges for allegedly driving while intoxicated, leading to a rollover crash in the Town of Saugerties. Saugerties police say Brandon Norton was speeding on Glasco Turnpike near Highbank Road early Sunday morning when he lost control of his car and went off the road. Police say he rolled over several times, and finally hit a tree. Norton was able to get out of the vehicle on his own. He was then taken to the hospital and is in serious but stable condition.
The Purchase Fire Department responded to a car crash that injured multiple people on Saturday. The fire department, along with Harrison EMS, were sent to Westchester Avenue and Kenilworth Road just after noon. They found a two-vehicle crash on the eastbound side of Westchester Avenue that was so severe, someone needed to be extracted from the car. Units were able to stabilize the vehicle and remove the driver's side door on one of the vehicles. The passengers were taken to hospitals. There is no word yet on their condition.
A head-on car crash in New City has left a man dead and two others seriously injured. One of the drivers, now identified as 84-year-old Patrick Tully, of Nanuet, was pronounced dead at the scene.
