Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A former NYPD officer from Bronxville is facing up to 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to trafficking methamphetamine and date-rape drugs. The U.S. Attorney's Office says John Cicero pled guilty to distributing the drugs in Westchester County and New York City. They say Cicero was the leader of a drug trafficking ring, and was responsible for moving over 3 kilograms of methamphetamine, 750 liters of the date-rape drug GBL, and importing narcotics from overseas. He is scheduled to be sentenced in February.
Two people are recovering from serious injuries after a car crash on Route 6 in Woodbury, according to officials. They say both occupants were extricated and transported to local hospitals with serious injuries. The Woodbury Fire Department and Mombasha Fire Company were on scene. There is no word yet on what led to the crash.
