A former New York City firefighter will serve five years' probation for his involvement in a fatal hit-and-run back in 2018. Eric Werner was heading south on Route 9 in Peekskill when he struck and killed 63-year-old pedestrian Joseph Orichello. Werner failed to stop and hid his damaged vehicle in a landscaping trailer owned by his business.
A pharmacy in Pearl River was burglarized on Wednesday. Police say the suspects who were all wearing hoodies smashed the glass front door of NeighboRx in the morning and took off with drugs. So far, no arrests have been made.
