Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A Putnam woman will spend four years behind bars after an intentional hit-and-run. Heather Licari, 41, had been convicted of attempted assault, according to the Putnam County District Attorney's Office. Authorities say video surveillance showed Licari intentionally swerving her car in order to hit her sister's 28-year-old boyfriend in Patterson back in 2019. The victim suffered serious injuries requiring surgery.
Flames broke at 455 North Broadway in Yonkers around 1:30 p.m. on Monday. Authorities say one resident of the garden apartment was injured. The cause of the fire has not been released yet.
A Monroe police officer is facing multiple charges after a car crash. Police in Wallkill say off-duty officer Daniel Lindell was involved in a crash by State Route 211 and Ballard Road last Wednesday. Lindell then allegedly fled the crash site. He's charged with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident.
