Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A Kingston man, out on bail for previous weapons charges, is now facing more legal trouble following a federal investigation. Kingston police say a federal arrest warrant was issued for Oryin McNabb after a monthslong investigation into firearms sales and reports of shots fired in the area. He was also charged with criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment in January.
A vehicle fire also turned into a brush fire battle in Piermont. Officials say the gas tank caught fire on Tweed Boulevard in the village. First responders were able to knock that down then put out the brush fires that has sparked on both sides of the roadway.
Two swimmers are safe after being rescued from the Hudson River. Rescuers say they spotted the man and woman struggling near Little Stony Point Park. A Cold Spring volunteer fire deputy jumped in to rescue them. A nearby boater also helped to get the two on board and safely to shore.
