The Westchester County District Attorney’s Office says a former business manager at the Mamaroneck public library is facing grand larceny charges. Mary Soto, who resigned from the library in March after 27 years, spent library funds on personal expenses for nearly seven years. She is charged with stealing more than $44,000.
Police say two people are facing charged in connection with an extensive prostitution ring in Middletown. The investigation – done by the FBI and Orange County District Attorney’s Office -- has been going on for a year and a half into Carlos Perez-Hernandez and Bertha Correales. They were charged with promoting and permitting prostitution.
A Spring Valley convicted felon is getting more prison time. Darius Williams is now convicted of six additional felony counts from four separate occasions throughout this year. Williams was already serving time in a state prison for an assault in Haverstraw.
