Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
Yaquba McGougain, a Peekskill man, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for the shooting death of Antonio Antoine-Fils, who worked at Duo Tapas Bar and Lounge on Yonkers Avenue. Another employee was injured but survived. McGougain pleaded guilty to a weapons charge.
Samuel Junker, of White Plains, has been indicted for shoving a woman onto the subway tracks at the Chambers Street Station in Lower Manhattan. The NYPD charged him with felony assault. The woman was treated for a leg fracture.
The death of an inmate at Green Haven Correctional Facility in Dutchess County is currently under investigation after a possible overdose. The facility has been facing an EMS crisis since August, with delayed ambulance responses.
