Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A motorcyclist in Yonkers is facing criminal charges for his reckless riding on a sidewalk. A video from Yonkers police shows Danny Martinez nearly striking a mom and her kids while doing a “wheelie” on his dirt bike. Police says they have zero tolerance for this type of behavior. Martinez is now facing reckless endangerment charges.
A deer is safe, thanks to the actions from the Town of Ramapo Police Department and Hillcrest Fire Company. Video shows a deer stuck in a fence on North Pascack Road in the Hillcrest area of Ramapo. The officers required assistance from the Hillcrest Fire Company, who used the "Jaws of Life" to separate the fence and eventually free the deer.
A warning has been issued to people planning a trip to see the famous Rockefeller Christmas Tree in Manhattan. Police say a group of five people were arrested for pickpocketing a holiday crowd over the weekend. The NYPD says multiple complaints came in over pickpockets near Rockefeller Center on Friday night. Police were able to track down the group by the end of the night. One of them had 37 prior arrests.
