Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
Authorities are trying to figure out what started a small fire in New Rochelle over the weekend. Officials say the flames broke out Saturday night on Overlook Circle. News 12 is told a firefighter suffered minor injuries but was treated and released. No other injuries were reported.
A warning to lock your cars! Police in Orange County are investigating a string of incidents where items were stolen from vehicles. Washingtonville police say they all happened Friday morning in the Stone Ridge neighborhood. If you were a victim, witness or have cameras that may have picked up something, please call the police department at (845) 496-9123.
After several days of remote learning, some students from the Ridge Street Elementary School will be able to return to the classroom this week. According to the acting Superintendent Dr. Colin Byrne, six special education classes will return to in-person instruction Tuesday at the King Street campus. The district is also working on securing potential alternative classroom space at the JCC in Harrison and Camp Mohawk in White Plains. The next town hall meeting is set for tomorrow.
