A New Rochelle man is facing murder charges after a deadly shooting outside a baby shower in the Bronx. Police say Wayne Smith was at the celebration in January when a fight broke out among several men. Smith allegedly then took a gun from the victim and killed him. Police arrested Smith at the scene and is due back in court March 16.
A Port Chester man is now facing several charges after allegedly firing shots during a road rage incident. Police say it began when a couple reported a vehicle blocking theirs as they attempted to change lanes on Westchester Avenue. Jarrell Fortson then allegedly started yelling racist remarks at the couple before he pulled out a loaded handgun.
A Dobbs Ferry father was acquitted in the death of his infant son. Kevin Holloway had been charged with manslaughter and reckless endangerment. His 8-week-old son, Jackson Holloway, died in 2018. Holloway's attorney says the district attorney rushed to judgment.
