Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A New Rochelle orthodontist has pleaded guilty to assault in the stabbing of her ex-fiance's new girlfriend. The Westchester County District Attorney's Office says Dr. Alika Crew, 44, entered her plea in County Court last Friday. It was July 2020 when Crew snuck into the back of the victim's car parked on Hillandale Drive and stabbed her from behind. The victim suffered serious injuries. Crew is expected to be sentenced under the Domestic Violence Survivors Justice Act. A sentencing hearing about that is set for July.
The City of Middletown police are looking for help identifying two suspects wanted for stealing an ATV from the Middletown reservoir property where city workers were doing maintenance. The police department released a few grainy pictures of the suspects who are riding on the ATV. Anyone with information is urged to call 845-343-3151 or text "Tip Middletown" to 888777. All calls are confidential.
A Saugerties man is facing charges for allegedly owning an illegal handgun. Police say Aiden Becnel was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon. He was found carrying the loaded handgun with a 17-round magazine.Becnel is due back in court next month.
