Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A Pleasant Valley man is facing charges for trying to rob a bank. State police say they were called to the Chase Bank on Main Street in Pleasant Valley on Saturday for reports of a robbery. They say the suspect, Damion Lowe, took off on foot. Investigators later caught up to him at his home. He's charged with attempted robbery.
A man is recovering this morning after being shot in Yonkers. Police say it happened on Hamilton Avenue around 7 p.m. Tuesday. The victim was taken to the hospital with serious - but not life-threatening injuries. Police are still searching for a suspect - and don't believe there is an active threat to public safety.

Yonkers police are cracking down on quality-of-life complaints. They say they issued more than 50 summonses for road violations in a single day. Those include speeding and equipment violations - including one car driving 91 miles per hour in a 40 zone. They're now calling on the community to respect other drivers and pedestrians - and follow the rules of the road.
