Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A New York State Police cruiser was struck on the side of the Palisades Parkway. It happened when police were assisting a driver with a flat tire. Rafael Nunez, of the Bronx, is charged with aggravated DWI and reckless driving, among other charges.
Police in Newburgh say they were notified of a person posing as a police detective looking to install cameras for people due to increased criminal activity. The department says that person is not an officer. Anyone with additional information on this case should contact police.
Dutchess County sheriff's deputies have arrested one of the top names on their most wanted list—the Grinch. The sheriff's office says it arrested the Grinch just ahead of Christmas for attempting to steal holiday cheer. The sheriff says the arrest was made possible thanks to great collaboration between the patrol division and detective bureau.
