Here are some stories that are making headlines on this Friday.
A Rockland County corrections officer is facing additional felony charges for allegedly committing crimes while on duty. Thirty-five-year-old John Kezek, of Florida, New York, is being held on a $100,000 bail. He's accused of sexually harassing inmates and making false jail log entries regarding his activities on the job.
Wallkill police are helping families keep kids safe in the car this summer. Officers just finished a four-day training program on car seat safety. Officers will be at the Galleria Mall in Middletown on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. to assist parents who would like their child's car seats looked at. Appointments are needed.
The "Give a Pint, Get a Pint" campaign is offering free ice cream just by donating blood. All this month, those who donate blood to the American Red Cross will get a certificate for a free pint of ice cream.
