Here are some stories making headlines in the Hudson Valley.
A Rockland man is facing federal charges for distributing fentanyl that resulted in six overdoses and two deaths. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, the overdoses happened between 2020 and 2022. They claim Justin Turnick personally observed four of the six overdoses. The victims were between 19 and 24 years old.Turnick could spend life in prison if found guilty.
           
Police in Ardsley are searching for a suspect in a burglary. They say the break-in happened at the Ardsley Market Fresh and Deli on Saw Mill River Road around 3 a.m. Wednesday. They say the perpetrator(s) smashed a window to get in - and took about $4,000 in cash and lottery tickets.
           
A crime-fighting dog in Orange County is being credited with sniffing out more than 1,000 grams of cocaine from a car in the Town of Woodbury. With the help of Troopers Giga and Carozzo, K-9 Kell found the drugs in the trunk of a Nissan Altima on State Route 17. The driver and passenger are both charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
