Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A school bus crashed and burst into flames in Airmont on Thursday. Police say it happened yesterday during the afternoon drop-off on Saddle River Road. It's not clear if any students were onboard or if anyone was hurt.
A woman fell out a three-story window on Lockwood Avenue in Yonkers. Police believe it was accidental. The woman was rushed to the hospital, but there is no report yet on the extent of her injuries.
A woman who died in a car crash in Goshen has been identified. Rachael Angelo, 25, from Circleville, drove off of Route 17 Wednesday night and hit a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved.
A custodian at George Washington Elementary School is being hailed as a hero for saving a student's life. The Lakeland school district tells News 12 that Angelo Alessandro rushed to the rescue of the third grader choking during lunch. They say the boy wasn't breathing so the custodian performed the Heimlich maneuver and pulled food out of the child's mouth. Alessandro says he just did what anyone would do that day, but that it feels good to know he helped save a child's life.
