3h agoHere are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
In Rockland County, a 14-year-old is facing charges in a bomb threat at a local high school. Ramapo police say the teen reported a bomb at Suffern High School, forcing its evacuation in September. A four-month investigation led to an arrest. The suspect is charged with making a terroristic threat and falsely reporting an incident. The teen was released but will return to Rockland County Family Court.
The deputy superintendent of the Brewster School District, Dr. Michelle Gosh, has been appointed as the new superintendent, effective July 1. She will succeed Dr. Laurie Bandlow, who is retiring after five years. The board states that Gosh is the ideal person to lead the district into the future.
Iona University is partnering with the Secret Service to recruit future members. Secret Service agents recently spoke to six criminal justice classes about career opportunities within the agency. Students interested in applying can click here.
