Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A police chase in Westchester County on the Saw Mill River Parkway ended at Ravensdale Road in Hastings with occupants fleeing the vehicle Saturday night. Helicopters, K-9s and SWAT officers assisted county police, Yonkers police and state police in the search for the occupants, but no arrests have been made. Hastings-on-Hudson Police Chief David Dosin made the following post on Facebook - “Please be advised that the entire area has been canvassed regarding last night's incident. We believe the suspects are no longer in our village. Please resume normal activities however, as always if you should see something that looks suspicious call the police desk at 914-478-2344.”
A man is dead after a wrong-way crash on I-84. Police tell News 12 the crash happened near mile marker 11, in the town of Wawayanda. They say 81-year-old Tom Lloyd from Bloomingburg, was driving eastbound--in the westbound side. Ethel Kowalczik, from Unionville, was driving westbound when she was hit, head-on, by Lloyd. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Kowalczik was treated for her injuries.
A man has been arrested for selling fentanyl to Dutchess County residents. The Dutchess County Drug Task Force has been actively investigating the sale of fentanyl in Poughkeepsie for several months. Mackenzie Arias has been charged with criminal sale of controlled substance.
