Here are some local stories making headlines this Friday.
Protesters and counter protesters greeted former President Donald Trump at Trump National Golf Course Westchester in Briarcliff Manor Thursday. The group Indivisible Westchester planned to protest Trump's presence at the fundraiser for the state GOP party. Meanwhile, about two dozen members of the far right group the Proud Boys showed their support for the former president. Police barricades were set up to separate the opposing groups. Both rally's ended without incident.
Robert Durst's murder trial is set to resume next week after a COVID-19 exposure scare, a source told the Daily News. Court abruptly halted in Los Angeles Thursday where Hudson Valley real estate heir Durst was expected to take the stand. He's accused of killing his friend Susan Berman to prevent her from revealing what happened to Durst's wife who disappeared from Westchester. Durst is not likely to take the stand until Monday, when court resumes.
A Brewster music teacher was released Friday morning after being accused of having two of his young students dress up in high heels while he videotaped them. Stanley Indig, 67, is a traveling music instructor. He was arrested by police on two counts of child endangerment after he allegedly took videos of siblings in their Greenburgh home during a music lesson. Police are now looking for other potential victims.
