Fallsburg police responded to a call on Saturday on State Route 52 in the hamlet of Woodbourne and found Kai-Vena Woodall with a large cut on her leg, yelling at Jonathan Pagan, who had several stab wounds on his back and head. Investigators say the two assaulted each other with kitchen knives. Both were taken to the hospital and later arrested.
A person is recovering after a major crash on Boston Post Road near Playland Parkway in the city of Rye on Friday evening. First responders found a car on its side with one person trapped inside. They carefully extricated the victim and transported them to the hospital. The extent of their injuries and the cause of the crash are still under investigation.
A woman has been charged with attempted arson in Poughkeepsie. Police arrested Itita Washington-Thompson after finding accelerants and fire damage at the scene. People were inside the home at the time. Washington-Thompson was also charged with reckless endangerment.
