Several local businesses in downtown Nyack are under water yesterday after heavy rains caused severe flooding.
Sunday night?s rainstorm dumped close to three inches of water on top of the area, causing a nearby creek to overflow. The majority of Main Street was left covered with water, mud and debris.
Work crews and business owners spent the day using shovels to clean up the mess. Lake Nanuet pool was also shut down after flooding swept mud and debris into the pool water.
