The Westchester County Health Department is issuing an alert to anyone who may have bought a drink with ice in it at the Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin Robbins at 422 Washington Street in Peekskill.
Anyone who consumed beverages with ice between April 1 and April 6 from that location is being encouraged to seek treatment after an employee was discovered to have been infected with hepatitis A.
The Department of Health is providing free treatment to anyone who is unable to receive it through their health care provider. Health officials say those who have had hepatitis A in the past and were treated or those that have receive the hepatits A vaccine are protected from the infection.
Treatment will be available at at 1037 Main Street in Peekskill today from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Monday and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
