After being sidelined by COVID-19,  high school athletes in the Hudson Valley are now able to get back in the game.
County executives from all seven counties in the Mid-Hudson region are now authorizing high-risk sports.
Sports like basketball, hockey and wrestling will begin as early as Feb. 1 under new guidelines. Each school district still must approve teams participating.
Districts are responsible for compliance with state guidance and safety protocols. COVID-19 testing may be considered, but not required.
