The events celebrating the 50th anniversary of hip-hop continue across the nation.
Hip-hop was in the spotlight at the Westchester County Center on Saturday with a concert and musical performance by Yonkers’ own Mary J. Blige, as well as The Lox.
Diehard music fans lined up early ahead of the show.

“I love Mary J. too, but I love The Lox. They are the ultimate three-man group,” said one fan. “They’ve been together forever, ever since they were the War Lox.”
The Westchester County Center recently returned to operating as a sports and entertainment venue, after three years of being used as an emergency health care facility during the COVID-19 pandemic.
By all indications on this night, the venue is back and better than ever.
