Saturday marked the first Hip Hop Parade in the Bronx.

The parade celebrated the long history of the musical genre that has swept the nation.

It featured performances on stage, as well as images and historical facts concerning the music's rich tradition.

Assemblyman Marcos Crespo was among the event's attendees.
