For the second time this season, the Monroe College and Hostos Community College women's basketball teams collided. Monroe is ranked first in the nation, while Hostos is 14-1 and ranked 10th. Hostos Head Coach Rodney Carr hoped the Lady Caimans could knock off number one. Bronx resident and Mercy College Coach Mitch Martinez hoped Hostos could stay in it, but they had no answer for Fantasia Goodwin. She finished the break and scored 24 points. Monroe remains undefeated at 20-0 with the 87-65 win over Hostos.
