Hot water and heat during the mild winter were on the agenda Wednesday when housing officials met with the Bronx borough president.
The Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) told Borough President Adolfo Carrión Jr., so far, it's received about 25,000 complaints from tenants during the fall and winter. HPD says it received more than 34,000 complaints the previous fall and winter. HPD attributes the decrease to improvements it's made with a complaint voice mail line for renters. Officials also say warm weather helped.
The New York City Housing Authority and Bronx community boards also attended the monthly meeting.
