The Assembly Judiciary Committe met in executive session Monday for the first time since the state attorney general's report alleged that Gov. Cuomo sexually harassed 11 women.
They detailed the next steps in the investigation, including two more private meetings on Aug. 16 and Aug. 23, going through hundreds of thousands of documents and public hearings with independent experts on sexual harassment and state impeachment procedures later this month.
Committee members are defending the weekslong timeline, saying it's necessary to be thorough and careful.
Gov. Cuomo has until Friday to give the Assembly Judiciary Committee anything he wants them to consider in his defense.
