News 12 has learned that a Hyde Park man arrested this week for allegedly sexually abusing children has ties to a Hudson Valley martial arts studio.

State police say 28-year-old Tyler Leclerc sexually abused “multiple children over the course of several years” and arrested him Wednesday.

Leclerc was listed as an instructor at his family’s martial arts studio, Leclerc’s Martial Arts, but his name and photo are now removed. The business has six locations in Dutchess and Ulster counties, including Hyde Park, Rhinebeck, Arlington and Kingston. News 12 reached out to them for comment but hasn’t received a response.

Leclerc is charged with criminal sex act of a victim under the age of 17 and two counts of child endangerment. He’s being held at Dutchess County Jail on $200,000 cash bail.

State police are asking anyone with information about Leclerc to contact them at 845-677-7300 and reference case number 2500085617.
