Hudson Valley residents are eager to hear what President Joe Biden will be saying in his State of the Union Address tonight.

Biden's speech comes at a critical time as he gears up for reelection, and he is expected to tout his administration's efforts in creating jobs, fighting inflation and improving infrastructure, some of which has been favorable for Westchester residents.

"Like the tuition cuts, which is $1.3 billion. I think that's fantastic," says Samuel Simon, a Greenburgh native.

Still, Simon says no president is perfect, and he hopes Biden will do more to create a sense of unity in the country. "He should put an end to the filibuster. Emphasize that. I would also like to see him work on the Equality Rights Voting Act Renewal that is instituted instantaneously."

Others want to hear more about improvements to their safety in the community. "I live in Yonkers, and the roads are really, really bad. It's really, really bad. We need some more roads," says Marlene Coleman, from Yonkers.

People also tell News 12 they expect to hear more about the wars in Israel and Ukraine.
