Hudson Valley residents make their communities a little cleaner and greener for Earth Day

Members of the Zeta Nu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. were out cleaning up in New Rochelle on Saturday.

Hudson Valley residents came together this weekend for Earth Day activities and the green initiatives will continue all April for Earth Month.
Members of the Zeta Nu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. were out cleaning up in New Rochelle on Sunday.
Chapter members picked up litter and garbage at Huguenot Park.
They also helped clean up the Bronx River Reservation in White Plains as part of the "Pitch in for Parks" effort on Saturday.
More than 20 bags of garbage and debris were collected.
