only, lowered prices Friday for the Fuel Your Way NJ
Self-Serve Day of Awareness.

The effort is about trying to get the
public on board with allowing self-service gas in New Jersey.
Those
supporting the effort believe enacting the Motorist Fueling Choice and
Convenience Act will help lower gas prices.
The
legislation was introduced in February and is designed to allow New Jersey gas stations
the option of offering self-service, while still requiring stations with more
than four dispensers to continue to offer full-service gas pumps.
Those in the
Fuel Your Way NJ coalition say it will allow stations to provide lower gas
prices, which was reflected by the price at participating
stations Friday.
